Random Photo Wednesday : 8th Edition

I took this picture in San Antonio the weekend we laid my Nana to rest. I was relaxing out on the hammic and noticed the sun peeping through the trees. I love the blue sky in contrast to the bright green leaves. This shot holds a special place in my heart.

Revenge

I was sitting here enjoying Regis & Kelly re-runs when I hear kitty yelp for her dear life. I thought to myself “Oh hell, Swazie killed the cat this time”. Then I see kitty hall ass down the stairs chasing a bird. Holy freaking cow. How in the hell did it get into my house? I mean really though, I live in the middle of the freaking city. Is this normal? Thanks for crapping all over my house you worthless shit filled bird.

Decorating Tip, From Yours Truly

I’m sure it is obvious that I am running out of topics to write about, but hey I prefer that my readers have the option of obtaining cute chairs cushions if that’s what tickles their fancy. The task of covering a cushion is insanely simple and can add a little spunk to any home. I love my “new” stools.

Before, BORING!

New Found Love

My new love is … THE GINGERBREAD LATTE, sugar free, non fat, with a splash of cream! So tasty, I tell you. I dare all of you to run to Starbucks right now and get you one. You will forever be in love.

It is the perfect Sunday morning here at the Harris house. I plan to sit here, drink my latte, research new cars and maybe even decorate for Christmas. Hubs is here reading “Texas Parks & Wildlife” and occasionally looking up at the football game.

Perfect. Sunday. Morning. Period.

And for some odd reason, I don’t even feel guilty about not going to church.

What is everyone up to today?

The only thing that would make this day better than it already is, would be this beauty showing up in my driveway! Doubtful, but dreamy! Oh, and if you plan to get this for me for Christmas, I prefer the pearl exterior with the peanut butter interior. Thanks and Gig’ Em.

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. McCook!

My cousin, Amanda got married last weekend. It was the perfect autumn day for an outside wedding in Dallas. It was obvious that everything was carefully planned out and perfected to the T. The entire celebration ran smoothly and it was wonderful to see the entire family. The last time we were all together as a family was at Nana’s funeral, and I have to say that although that experience was truly special, this was much more enjoyable! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the evening. Congratulations to the beautiful couple and welcome to the family Ross!

Random Photo Wednesday

Ok, so I lied … I really do promise that my next post (or shortly thereafter) will be a wonderful post on the wedding.

Man, Wednesdays seem to approach at a rapid pace ever since I began “Random Photo Wednesday”. It’s like before I know it another Wednesday is creeping on up. I might as well start the decision process on Monday night, because I am spending way too much time trying to decide which picture I love the most. I guess the dilemma is that I have too many that I love.

Internet … I would like for you to meet Marybeth and her nephew, Cooper. Not only is Coop Mary’s nephew, he is also the son of our lovely friend, Candice.

To me, this shot is absolute cuteness! I like to think that I snapped this picture not a minute to early and not a second too late. If it would have been a second later, you would have seen Marybeth yelling at her brother, Pat to come and get the barfy mini-me.

Believe me; I am sure for whatever reason Marybeth deserved the pukin’.

Photo Shoot Anyone?

I know I’m going a bit out of order, but my next post will be on Amanda’s wedding, I promise. But for now, I am way too excited to hold back from posting about babies. Someone else’s baby that is!I am one step closer to making my dream come true, thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Orr! A good friend of the family, Kathleen and her husband, Mike were courteous enough to allow me take pictures of their little baby bump last night. Yes, you heard me correctly I had my first real PHOTO SHOOT! And yes, I am talking a professional studio and all … Well, that’s if you consider a black sheet hanging on my kitchen wall professional.

Thanks guys for allowing me to take pictures of your soon to be bundle of joy. You have no idea how happy it makes me when I am behind that camera snapping away. It also helps when the subjects are as beautiful as the two of you.
In two short weeks Mike and Kathleen will introduce the new addition into the family. It is a little weird seeing someone you grew up with pregnant, but it is also mysterious and a beautiful part of life. I wish you guys the best of luck and can’t wait to meet the little hors d’oeuvre. If you are wondering why I refer to the baby as an hors d’oeuvre, it’s not because I was clever enough to come up with the name myself. Kathleen starting calling it this because their last name is Orr … ahhh now you get it right?

Here are some regular sized pics too. I got a little carried away with the collage above, because I just learned how to make one. And I think the collage is pretty darn cute, but you really can’t see the pictures as well as I would like. So, here you are.

Eeehh Babay! (Love that song)

Funny story … I took this right before Mike told Kathleen to, “make love to the camera!”. I think it turned out cute, I love the expression on her face.

So, who’s next? Is there anyone else ready for a “photo shoot”? I accept baby bumps, non-baby bumps, friendly pets, or hell I am so eager I will even photograph beer bellies if that’s what makes you happy.

Just kidding Dad, put your hand down!

P.S. Kathleen & Mike, thanks for dinner. Oh, and the cookies too! I ate three on the way to work this morning. So scrumptious!

Got A Case Of The Mondays?

I work up early for work this morning to find this wonderful surprise. Lets hope my luck gets better as the day goes on. You might be wondering why I am blogging about it, instead of doing something about it. I am doing something about it. That something is waiting for Jonathan to come home from work and help me change the damn thing. I am so lucky to have a hubs that loves me! Hope you guys got off to a better start than I.

If you’re happy and you know it, clap you hands…. and no, I AM NOT CLAPPING!
